Graham leads a Congressional Briefing for the Official Launch of the Military Settings sector of the U.S. National Physical Activity Plan. On the subject of “Physical Activity and National Security”, military leaders and public health officials brief policymakers about how physical inactivity is impacting the readiness, lethality, and longevity of our nation’s current, future, and former service members, plus solutions that will simultaneously improve the safety, security, and health of our nation.
Graham leads a congressional briefing sponsored by the Active People Healthy Nation Partner Network and the Physical Activity Alliance. Discussion includes the toll of COVID-19 on health, the importance of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) appropriations for physical activity, and the need for investments in active transportation and physical activity in transportation reauthorization and infrastructure spending.
